ARENA AND VENUE HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Equestrian pursuits are inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury and therefore using Cherwell Competition Centre and facilities is entirely at your own risk.

CCTV is in use at all times on the arena.

When hiring Cherwell Competition Centre, you are agreeing to the following terms:

All arena hire bookings are non refundable but can be transferred to another date if at least 48 hours notice is given.  Please note that block bookings between one to 3 hours require a minimum of 7 days notice.

All fences MUST be left at approximately 1m.

No Equipment to be left on the ground

All droppings must be removed from the arenas, holding area and the parking areas.

Children under 16 must be supervised at all times by an adult in the arena. 


An adult with a working mobile phone must always be in attendance when the course is in use. All lone riders must carry a working mobile phone.

All riders MUST wear a hat to the standard of EN1384, ASTMF1163 or PAS 015 at all times when mounted. Body protectors are highly recommended when using the portable Arena XC fences and you must wear a hat with a non fixed peak. All riders are required to wear suitable footwear with defined heels.

Hirers must stick to their allocated time slot so they don’t interfere with any other
bookings.

Gates must be shut at all times.

Horses and ponies must not be left tied to any trailer or horsebox unattended.  

Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

Spectators are asked not to enter the arena when in use.

Riders are requested to report any damaged/broken jumps immediately and will be charged for a replacement along with carriage fees.  After each hire the Arena and equipment is inspected so we will be aware of any riders/competitors that leave damage.

Please note that whilst courses are set it is your responsibility to ensure heights and distances are set to your own requirements and abilities.

No lunging anywhere on site

Neither the owners or the tenants or any persons acting on their behalf accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any other person's property whatsoever.

All clients hosting an event are deemed responsible and must ensure full compliance with relevant Health & Safety Policies. Cherwell Competition Centre reserves the right to halt any actions which we consider to be contrary to our Health and Safety Policy or which we consider unsafe.

NOTE FOR XC Hire:

No rider under 8 will be permitted to use the cross
country course 
 
b) riders under the age of 14 will not be permitted to use
the cross country course unless accompanied by an adult; and
 
c) no lone riders under 18 will be permitted to use the
cross country course;
